Parent University is designed to empower you as an advocate and partner in your child’s education. All New York City parents and family members are welcome to enroll!

How to Register

  1. Visit parentu.schools.nyc
  2. Sign in with your NYC Schools Accountor create a new account
  3. Choose a course from the Course Catalog tab
  4. Click Enroll
  5. Check your email for confirmation!

UPCOMING EVENTS

The DOE invites families to participate in a three-part Parent University learn how child support works, the services available, and what parents/guardians need to know to better understand their case, their responsibilities, and how the HRA Office of Child Support Services (OCSS) can support you. Each session is 30 minutes and includes Q&A. 

  • Session 1: Child Support Basics - Monday, March 7 @ 10am and 6pm
  • Session 2: Key Points for Custodial Parents - Monday, March 14 @ 10am and 6pm
  • Session 3: Key Points for Noncustodial Parents - Monday, March 21 @ 10am and 6pm

The DOE’s ​Parent University seeks to educate and empower all families from early childhood through adulthood, with free courses, resources, events, and activities. Parents can register for free trainings on a wide range of topics, including adult education, student social-emotional learning, and special education. I am attaching flyers in English and Spanish that you can share with your communities on how to access Parent University (translated versions of the flyer are available in all DOE-supported languages on the Family and Community Empowerment (FACE) family-facing webpage
