OFFICE OF PARENT ENGAGEMENT’S GUIDE FOR EDUCATION COUNCIL’S BYLAWS
INTRODUCTION
Bylaws are the rules adopted by an organization or governing body that provide a framework to conduct business and take action. Bylaws describe how the organization or governing body (i.e., Community & Citywide Education Councils) functions, and they include the procedural rules that cannot be suspended or changed without prior notice to and by vote of the members. This document is recommended for use by the Education Councils in fulfillment of their duty to adopt bylaws.
